Avis Hazard-Spears Deaconess of Exalt Avis has been at Peace Dale for 53 years. She's held positions for 30 years as a Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Worship Leader and a member of the Board of Christian Education and Pulpit Committee. She has lead Prayer Services, spoken a few Sundays when needed and have filled in whenever and wherever needed in the congregation. She's committed to Christ and to exalting his name through worship. Minister Antoinette M. Ferrara, Chair Antoinette grew up at PFCOG and was led to the Lord here. She has held a multitude of leadership positions including Church Secretary, BOT member and Chair, Choir & Worship Team Member, Youth Leader, and Assistant Treasurer. She is also a Delegate for PFCOG in New England regional matters and serves as Treasurer and Executive Board member for NECHOG. Michael Comire, Vice-Chair Mike has been a member of PFCOG for about two years. Since his arrival he has been faithful in his attendance and willingness to serve. He is an active church member as well as serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees.
Joanne Silva-Njoku Joanne has been a member of PFCOG for more than two decades. She has served on the Fundraising Committee and the Board of Trustees for many years. Helen Taylor I have been a member of First Church of God since the age of eight (8). I did, unfortunately, step away from the church in my later teen years until my early twenties. I dedicated my life to Christ in my late thirties and have been attending regularly since, even through COVID. I attended services virtually and, when able, physically. Before COVID, I was in charge of setting up the elements for communion every first Sunday of the month. I was also involved with the PowerPoint ministry every third Sunday. I am also on the worship team. I am a member of the Board of Trustees and the nominating committee. I feel honored and blessed to be a member of this body of Christ and very thankful for my sisters and brothers of this congregation. I feel we are a family of God. Susan (Sue) Hazard, Secretary Sue has been a member of PFCOG for more than forty years. She has faithfully served in the choir, the Board of Trustees, and for more than twenty years, Treasurer. Anna M. Costa Anna grew up at PFCOG. At the age of fifteen, she accepted Jesus as her personal savior at Roaring Brook Camp, a property in Conway, MA formerly owned by the NECHoG. After marrying, Anna moved to Providence, RI where she worshipped at other churches, but her heart was always at Peace Dale. She returned to PFCOG in 2001. She has served in a number of capacities, including Church Administrator, Sunday School and VBS Assistant, Worship Team member, Church Van Driver, Greeting Card Ministry Coordinator, Connect Team Telephone member (a Covid Ministry), Board of Trustees, and most recently Chair of the Pulpit Search Committee. She is also a Delegate for PFCOG in New England regional matters. Pam Thibodeaux I am a wife and mother of four adult children, and I have three living grandchildren. I have a music degree, and I teach private flute lessons, as well as volunteering in the middle school bands. I have been an active member of First Church of God Peace Dale for four and a half years, and I am on the WOW team, the Board of Christian Education, the nominating committee, and the Pastoral Search Committee. I teach children’s church twice a month and I am involved in the church’s outreach activities. I truly love serving in all these areas and I’m looking forward to what the future holds for our church. Elizabeth (Beth) Comire Beth was raised in North Providence, RI and attended, received Christ, and was baptized at Allendale Baptist Church, American Baptist Church. She is married to Michael, and they have eight (8) children. PFCOG became her home church three years ago and she has been serving on the Board of Christian Education, participating with the youth group, VBS, and various community outreach events. Danielle Gonzalez Danielle has attended First Church of God, Peace Dale since infancy and has been an active member of the congregation since she was old enough to sing with her aunts and uncles in the choir. Danielle is a member of the Board of Christian Education and the Pulpit Search Committee and lends her time and talents to the Worship Team, Sound Ministry, and PowerPoint Ministry. Danielle believes that no amount of help is too small to provide when being obedient to what God calls her to do. Danielle stands on Isaiah 43:1-7.
